According to the experts, a positive relationship is one where both parties feel free to be themselves and at the same time can ask for what they need in a positive,concrete and specific way. This sometimes isn’t easy as judgement, criticism, expectations and our deep routed past baggage often get in the way.

In this Engish/German language workshop, you will learn how to find and be your authentic self in your partnership. Using time-tested role plays, you will also practice the techniques on how to ask for what you need without arguing or feeling unappreciated, items that often find their way into relationships. In this workshop, the participants will first learn self-awareness and how to discover ones strengths. You will learn to understand and develop your own individual strengths in order to improve your performance and life satisfaction. Once we have discovered your 5 top strengths though thought provoking role-plays and introspection, we will discuss how they can be applied to your current job or find that perfect other job. According to Positive Psychology, the science of happiness, a positive relationship is one where each person is an active participant in helping create the other one’s positive future. Each of us needs to fully ‘show up’, be present, listen, express ourselves and care for the other….that requires time and attention. A relationship where two people have the time to grow…one that is supportive, motivating and enriching. This means in all our relationships i.e., romantic partnerships, parent/child, boss/employee and our friendships.

In this workshop, the participants will first work toward self-awareness and mindfulness. Once achieved and understood, techniques and methods will be taught to learn positive communication, active listening and the art of giving clear and constructive feedback. During the workshop, we will do role plays of typical daily situations and practice productive and fruitful skills that support a positive outcome for both involved. The presentation will end with some ‘take aways’ intended to have the participants start their new found skills straight away.
